I am a San Francisco Bay Area-based artist working primarily in oil, with a focus on portraiture. I am deeply inspired by brief moments in time—those ordinary glimpses of daily life that, though often unnoticed, brim with profound beauty and emotional resonance. My work is inspired by fleeting, everyday moments that often pass unnoticed yet hold remarkable emotional depth. I believe every face carries a story, and through painting I seek to reveal the quiet beauty, resilience, and humanity embedded within ordinary lives.

As an immigrant and a woman, my practice is deeply shaped by questions of identity, memory, belonging, and womanhood. Navigating life in a foreign land, I find solace in painting stories of home, friendships and family. I often paint my daughters who are growing up to be strong independent women with their own voices. I try to portray their journey and find their confidence and fearlessness in sharp contrast to my own fears and insecurities.

My art practice is fuelled by a curiosity about people and their stories. I’m drawn to those unguarded moments where individuals are simply being themselves—lost in thought, interacting with the world around them, or revealing a fleeting emotion. These moments carry a quiet poetry that I find endlessly inspiring.
