Get ready for an exciting celebration of plein air painting! Paint Livermore runs from May 10–18. Don't miss out on the special collaborative painting workshop on May 10 led by internationally recognized artists Ghada Jamal and John Iacono (separate registration required).
Over the past two years, we’ve listened to our participating artists, and this festival reflects your valuable input. Join us and see how your ideas have shaped Paint Livermore Plein Air Art Festival 2025!
Participating Wineries: We are excited to announce that several wineries have already welcomed artists to paint on their grounds during public hours including Cuda Ridge Wines, Del Valle Winery, & Dante Robere Vineyards.
Artist Social Gathering: Join us for a no-host artist meet-up at Del Valle Winery on Friday, May 16, from 4-6pm. A great opportunity to connect and share experiences!
Artwork Guidelines: Unlimited substrates, 2 pieces allowed for judging
Exhibition Opportunity: Selected works will be juried into the Robert Livermore Community Center Gallery for a special show throughout June
The festivities culminate on May 18 with an Awards Party at the Bankhead Theater lobby, where our esteemed judge, Philippe Gandiol, will present top awards and select 20 outstanding paintings to be displayed at the Robert Livermore Community Center throughout June.

In Miniature . Village Theater and Gallery IN MINIATURE
Call for Artists March 3-May 17 Exhibition: July 12-September 20 Opening Reception July 12, 5-7 p.m.
Various mediums will be accepted such as paintings, drawings and sculptures. Artwork must be 4"x6" or less. As a guideline (not a rule) for a general definition of small scale, a subject should be no larger than 1/6th of its actual size. Subjects too small for portrayal in the 1/6th scale or non-representational work such as abstracts or surrealism may meet the spirit of miniature if the work meets the above definition. All mediums accepted except for photographic work, computer generated work and artwork created by photographic, digital, laser, giclee or A.l. techniques. Juror: Barbara Stanton.

CAFE - Call For Entry.org CAFE
CaFÉ is a program of the Western States Arts Federation (WESTAF) a regional nonprofit arts service organization dedicated to strengthening the financial, organizational, and policy infrastructure of the arts in the West. WESTAF assists state arts agencies, arts organizations, and artists in their quest to serve diverse audiences, enrich the lives of local communities, and provide access to the arts and arts education for all.
ZAPP - ZAPP
ZAPP is also run by WESTAF.. like CAFE…: The Western States Arts Federation (WESTAF) is a regional non-profit arts service organization dedicated to the creative advancement and preservation of the arts.
ZAPP enables artists to apply online to multiple art shows through one central website, ZAPPlication.org. The online application process also allows artists to directly upload digital images of their artwork for jury review. The result is that all artwork in the system is in a consistent, high-quality, digital format. The digital images are presented to the jurors of each show and the system allows them to score online.
Art Opportunities Monthly (AOM)
AOM is a carefully screened art opportunities list for traditional and contemporary artists working in painting, sculpture, photography, film, video, printmaking, book art, computer art, collage, weaving, fiber, textiles, ceramics, papermaking, mixed media, photography, computer art, monoprint, pastel, performance art, drawing, enameling, wood carving, crafts, jewelry, installation art, new media, public art, gouache, watercolor painting and every other visual medium. It is for those working in any style or geographic location and is available as a PDF by email. As a long-time subscriber puts it: "there's an easy search system that allows me to find what I need in minutes as opposed to hours with the other lists."

Downtown Livermore Art Stroll
Want to show your work in downtown Livermore? Local businesses and a couple of art groups display the work of local artists in the downtown Livermore area. Each location has its own vibe and you can apply to have your work displayed at the business. You must be an AVA member…membership is free! AVA takes a 20% commission on sales. Bankhead Theater: The Bankhead Theater is a busy performing arts center, offering a wide range of performances from musicals to scientific talks. Thousands of visitors attend these performances each month, offering a broad audience for the artwork displayed in the theater lobby and Founder's Room. Shows are generally by invitation only. Ryan's Automotive Service: One of the best views in Livermore, for art that is, Ryan Automotive has a wonderful space with lots of windows that lets sidewalk strollers peruse the art. Panama Bay Coffee Company: A busy coffee house, with a kick-back attitude, where people linger over coffee and a newspaper or just sit and chat with friends. It is a fun art venue, that loves both the established and up and coming artist and provides a varied audience for the art, from retired folks to youth.
