VINTNER AND ARTIST

Darcie Kent has been painting professionally for the past 30 years, and  works in both acrylic and watercolors.

She paints scenes of wine country and northern California, as well as portraits of the mustangs and ranch animals that call our landscape home.

Darcie’s recent acrylic works incorporate metallic gold, silver or copper leafing creating a dynamic painting that changes in appearance with lighting. She is also thrilled to begin an experimental series of unique multi-media prints combining expert printmaking with acrylic painting techniques.

A FAMILY LEGACY

Darcie not only represents her family’s fifth generation of American winemaking, but of artmaking as well.

All of Darcie Kent Vineyards wine labels are reproductions of Darcie’s original art. In this, she is continuing a family legacy: 2nd generation vintner Christian Ruegsegger illustrated the label for the first iteration of the family wine business, Alpine Winery, in the late 1800s.

Not only does Darice’s art adorn our estate wine labels, but the labels of our small-lot wines and give back wines as well.
