We have two ways to tour Art Venues by bike this year.

First, your own personal guided bike tours of the Tri Valley Artist Studio venues listed below!

Second, we have partnered with some local Livermore businesses to bring you a great Art Bike Tour for you to see some of the art venues through a Pedego e-Bike Picnic Package, includes lunch from The Press in Livermore, picnic at Charles R Winery, and art tour stops along the way. Kids Livermore Downtown Artist Studio Bike Tour

Level: Easy! Requires adult supervision, though.

Distance: Less than 2 miles.

Description: Begin and end at the Bothwell Art Center, featuring 28 artists, several in residence year-round. Head to Jacobs Home Studio on K Street before making your way north to the Livermore Art Association Gallery at Carnegie Park, then over to Panama Bay Coffee where an artist will be featured each Day! From there bike back to the Bothwell Art Center. There will be an Interactive Art Activity for Adults and Kids.

Kid’s Downtown Pleasanton Bike Tour

Level: Beginner (Super Easy). Paved roads, dirt paths, and sidewalks. Good for all bikes except super-skinny tires.

Distance: Less than 5 miles.

Description: Kid-Friendly, less than 5 miles along downtown Pleasanton streets and a creek side trail. Begins and ends at the Firehouse Art Center downtown. Heads east first to Filip Home Studios, then west to the Rigge Studio before looping back to the Museum on Main.There is traffic so, keep an eye out! But there is also a creek side trail, pedal through a park, ice cream, the most amazing Dollhouse, and more! Superflywheels Bike Shop can help you with your bike if you have problems.

Livermore Downtown Artist Studio Bike Tour

Level: Easy to Moderate.

Distance: Roughly 10 miles on paved paths or roads.

Description: Begin and end at the Bothwell Art Center, featuring 28 artists, several in residence year-round. Head to local studios south and west: first Jacobs Home Studio, onto Rodger A. Moody creations in wood, and then to Baker Home Studios with 6 artists. Zip north to the enchanting studio of a watercolorist before heading downtown. Some artists are featured at business establishments, like the Panama Bay Coffee. There are also two galleries open this weekend: the Livermore Art Association Gallery at Carnegie Park and the UNCLE Credit Union Gallery in the lobby of the Bankhead Theater.

Pleasanton/Dublin Artist Studio Tour from BART

Level: Moderate because of the distance. Flat terrain along paved roads, dirt and gravel trails. Negotiating some street traffic briefly on Dublin and Pleasanton, but I try to keep the bikes on trails as much as possible.

Distance: 17 mile ride to and from East Dublin Bart Station.

Description: Beautiful ride along trails from Dublin Bart Station taking the Iron Horse Trail down to Pleasanton Artist venues downtown before hopping on the Centennial Trail to K Home Studio then on the Alamo Creek Trail which takes you to Dublin Boulevard to see The Art Process. You will avoid the worst of this busy road by taking a tour through a quiet neighborhood to arrive at your last destination, The Frame Company. Three Sheets Beer is right next door and accepts outside food. Grab Thai, Indian, Afghan, or American meal and have a well-earned pint!

Livermore/Pleasanton Artist Studio Bike Tour

Level: Moderate. Mostly road ride with dedicated bike lanes. A wonderful paved trail ride at the end.

Distance: 20 miles! If you can bike 10 miles easily, you can probably bike this. Any ebike can make this.

Description: Starting at the Bothwell Art Center in Livermore, cycling through local studios to the south, then on to downtown Pleasanton via Vineyard Road along wineries. Easy pedal through downtown Pleasanton and a perfect place for a snack or a meal before heading back along Stanley Boulevard, with a bike path raised and separated from the traffic. See the studio of Daintily Made before hopping on the Arroyo Bike Trail back to the Bothwell Art Center. Perfect for ebikes, crossbikes, and moutain bikes! See a lot of art in between the right amount of biking.

Pleasanton/Livermore Artist Studio Bike Tour

Level: Moderate. Mostly road ride with dedicated bike lanes and paved trails.

Distance: 20 miles! If you can bike 10 miles easily, you can probably bike this. Any ebike can make this.

Description: Starting at the Firehouse Art Center in Pleasanton, cycling through local studios, then on through wine country to south Livermore art studios. Afterwards, the route heads north to artists near downtown and back along the Arroyo Bike Trail and the open lanes of Stanley Boulevard. Perfect for e-bikes, crossbikes, and mountain bikes! See a lot of art in between the right amount of biking. Safe for road bikes but there might be patches of gravel.

Livermore Loop Artist Studio Tour

Level: Moderate to Hard. A few hills but all on paved road or path: safe for skinny tires!

Distance: 22 miles

Description: 22-Mile ride from the Bothwell Art Center, then around the corner to Jacobs Home Studios before dropping south to the Livermore Studios of Moody, Goosemans, and Baker Fine Art. From there you will zip north to Daintily Made Studio and hop on the Arroyo Bike Trail and make your way to Charles R. Winery but don't have too much wine, because you have a small climb up to the Purple Orchid Spa before the sweet ride downtown. Before riding back to the start you might want to see the Artist in Residence at Panama Bay Coffee (just around the corner).

Dublin/Danville Artist Studio Bike Tour

Level: Moderate to Difficult. There are some slow climbs and the route is almost entirely on road. Safe for skinny tires!

Distance: 30 miles on roads with mostly wide bike lanes.

Description: 30-Mile Ride starting and stopping at the San Ramon Community Center and using roads and paved bike lanes to circle three towns. First check out the six Artists at the Center before cycling up to Gates Home Studios at the foot of Mount Diablo. Take a short jaunt west to Osgood Home Studios before biking all the way from Danville to Dublin. First see The Frame Company, showing artists from the Dublin Arts Collective. This is a good place to grab a meal in a local restaurant or get carry-out and take it over to Three Sheets Craft Beer. Before you pedal back to San Ramon, stop in at The Art Process on Dublin Boulevard. A brief ride on the Alamo Creek and Iron Horse Trails will get you back to Dougherty Road and up to your starting point. Great ride for skinny wheels.

Dublin/Danville Artist Studio Tour from BART

Level: Moderate to Advanced. Some gradual climbs, all paved. Safe for Skinny Tires!

Distance: 30 miles beginning and ending at East Dublin Bart Station.

Description: 30-mile ride from East Dublin Bart Station riding north along Dougherty Road (bike lane is separate from traffic) to the San Ramon Community Art Center featuring 6 artists. Then the route leads north along wide, well-marked bike lanes right to the foot of Mount Diablo to Gates Home Studios. Head a little west to Osgood Home Studios before riding south along the Iron Horse Parkway to The Frame Company featuring artists from the Dublin Arts Collective. Finally, you will take a short jaunt along the nasty Dublin Boulevard to The Art Process. The map guides you back to the Iron Horse Trail and the detour route back to West Dublin Bart Station.

Livermore/Pleasanton Artist Studio Tour from BART

Level: Moderate to Advanced. Very level, no climbs, but gravel trails. Not safe for skinny tires!

Distance: 30 miles beginning and ending at East Dublin Bart Station.

Description: Beautiful 30-mile ride along trails from Dublin Bart Station taking the Iron Horse Trail, across Santa Rita Road, to the Arroyo Mocho Trail. This will take you all the way (10 miles) into Livermore! Cycle through downtown artist studios and possibly grab some lunch. Afterwards the route takes you to southern Livermore studios before cycling through wine country to downtown Pleasanton. Cycle to studios in western Pleasanton before returning to Bart. Not for skinny-tire road bikes! Perfect for ebikes, though.
