Mark Ebner
There is nothing so amazing as to watch two pieces of steel heat to over 2,200 degrees, glow red, become fluid and then join into one piece. That’s the art of gas welding and forging.
Mark T Ebner works as an abstract sculptor, utilizing found objects of metal, steel and recycled materials. He transforms and joins metals through high-heat processes including Oxygen and Acetylene gas welding and gas forging. He also employes fundamental Blacksmithing techniques for shaping, bending and cutting.
Graduate of Pratt Institute, Brooklyn, NY. with a Bachelors of Architecture and where he mentored with Michael Malpass, American Artist. Mark has returned to his passion and sculpture after a forty plus year hiatus.
