Ron is a resident of Pleasanton, California and has been seriously producing fine art photographs since 1985. While his work covers diverse subject matter found in all of our Western states, he considers himself a photographer from and of California.

Representative bodies of work include the orchards of Central California, the Spanish missions and “Americana”, which includes relic autos, old beverage signs and many western ghost towns. He has also made a significant number of images of California landscapes, including those of the East Bay, the Wine country and the Eastern SierraNevada range.

His education in this field has primarily been in courses and field studies with master

Californian photographers such as Mark Citret, Al Weber, Steve Dzeregian, Brian Taylor and Robert Dawson. Ron is skilled at developing and printing his work in a conventional darkroom He has now made the transition to producing modern archival digital prints in both color 

and black and white.

He has competed annually in several local and national juried shows and has received awards and recognition in these exhibits including the California State Fair’s “California Works”. His work has been exhibited in group shows in Yokohama, Japan and the Steinbeck Center in Salinas. His photographs can be found in many private collections including two of which are international. The California cities of Danville, Fairfield and Livermore have purchased pieces for their collections. His images can also be found in two books, “Images of Africa” and “New Mexico on my Mind”. He is a member of the Pleasanton Art League and serves on the board of the “Foundation for Photographic Preservation”. Photography will assuredly remain his life long pursuit.
